2. The banner is repeating itself but I decided to let that slide.

   As for the English button, I’m sure the Taiwanese people who read that site don’t mind the lack of one.

4. “let that slide” means to forgive a mistake. I think it’s a mistake that the banner repeats itself like that, but I still think it’s a good site.

   you know, i was trying to make a wider pic as the banner, but it would be a larger size, it is not good to load as a page header, right?

   ps. your this site is really creative and nice, i like it

6. I think what you should have done was put a repeating background image behind the header, so that the header doesn’t repeat but continuing off to the right you see something that looks smooth.
